The British Mountaineering Council have an excellent insurance policy that covers outdoor activities such as climbing and cycling.

If you are a regular traveler an annual policy can give you excellent value for money.

European E1-11
It is also worth getting an E1-11 document.
The E1-11 is available from the post office and ensures you get immediate treatment free of charge in case of emergency.
This works well in circumstances like going to casualty at an English hospital.
Just take your passport and national insurance number to the post office and ask for the relevant document.
